BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Over 180,000 families in Kentucky are eligible to receive $120 in grocery benefits per child through the Summer EBT program.
This initiative, created by Feeding Kentucky and Kentucky Kids Eat, is designed to help families provide food for their children during the summer months. With school out, many kids lose access to regular meals, making this support critical.
John Cain emphasized that, “These programs, combined with summer meal efforts like SUN meals and meals to-go, are evidence-based solutions to reduce hunger when school is out.”
The benefits aim to bridge the nutritional gap for children who rely on school meals throughout the year. Families can still apply, but time is running out.
The application deadline is August 15th.
