AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Third-year students a part of the University of South Carolina Aiken’s Life Program moved into their homes on Wednesday.
The Life Program helps those with learning disabilities.
One of the students spoke about what she likes about the program.
Man hospitalized after house fire on Gentry Lane in North Augusta
According to the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, officers responded to a house fire on the 500 block of Gentry Lane at 11 a.m.
”I really enjoyed actually getting to know all of my friends I have now and getting to do fun things on campus, and getting to be open to new things," said Amelia Carpenter, member, USCA Life Program.
Students are also assigned jobs as part of this program.
