Evacuations have been ordered as a new fire is threatening homes in the North Ogden area in Weber County on Wednesday.

The Willard Peak Fire, which was sparked from a vehicle fire, is currently 50-75 acres, and 15-20 structures are threatened. Ground crews from several fire departments are responding, and helicopters and air tankers have been dropping water and fire retardant.

Everyone other than fire personnel is asked to avoid the area.

As of 4 p.m., over 30,000 residents are without power in the area, according to Rocky Mountain Power, due to the company having to de-energize the lines.
