DUBOIS, Pa (WTAJ)— A waterfall structure in DuBois is temporarily closed for the time being due to safety concerns.
The structure, bearing a sign spelling out DuBois in 4-foot letters, is hard to miss when driving on Liberty Boulevard.
It cost millions to build, and now there are questions over the safety of the structure. Crews have taped off the sidewalk and already started work on the actual structure.
They are not sure what exactly is wrong with the waterfall, according to DuBois Mayor Pat Reasinger. A different source said the rocks started to shift.
The City crew has started to fix the problems, but for the time being, the structure will be closed.
Construction for the project was completed in 2022.
