JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Johnstown City Council voted 5-2 in favor of awarding the bid for the Central Park Improvement Project.
The council's monthly meeting saw large numbers of the public in the council chambers to voice their concerns and problems with the design. A hot topic in the area for the past couple of months, the public had the opportunity to tell the council to oppose the award and express their views on the project.
"The city council and all these people have, they've spoken and no one cares anymore," one person said. "They know you're going to do whatever you're going to do."
"It probably should be a vote for everyone, every citizen of this area," another added. "Why is it fair that there's just overruled and not heard? It doesn't make sense."
