JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) -- A Janesville man was arrested Tuesday after police said he brought a missing and endangered juvenile from North Carolina back to Wisconsin.

The Janesville Police Department said it was contacted around 2:03 p.m. Aug. 12 by the Clay County, North Carolina, Sheriff's Office about the case. Investigators there determined that Adam V. Gurney, 29, traveled to Clay County, met with the juvenile and returned with her to Janesville. Clay County authorities issued an arrest warrant for Gurney.

Janesville officers set up surveillance at Gurney's residence and saw him and the juvenile get into a vehicle in the driveway. Police made contact, took Gurney into custody without incident and arranged for the juvenile to be picked up by a parent.
