NEEDHAM, Mass. —
Astronaut Suni Williams paid a visit to her hometown of Needham, Massachusetts, Wednesday afternoon, stopping by a local assisted living community to speak with residents.
Williams and fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore returned to Earth in March after spending nine months on the International Space Station, when they were originally supposed to be there for just eight days.
Williams says she drove down to Massachusetts from Maine and spent time in her old stomping grounds, telling NewsCenter 5 that the experience evoked a lot of emotion.
"Just a lot of memories from when I was a kid. I think I've jogged on every single road in this town practically because I was on the cross country team for a year before I joined the Navy," Williams said. "I know so much about this pla
