A Gueydan man was arrested and is facing multiple charges related to child pornography and animal sex abuse.

James Bouley, 25, of Gueydan, has been charged with 100 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials under the age of 13 and 10 counts of sexual abuse of an animal. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail with a bond set at $125,000.

Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, along with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, conducted the investigation.

"Cases like this are always very disturbing for our Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents. I'd like to thank them and deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office for their great work on this case. If you hurt our kids or animals in Louisiana, you're going straight to jail," Murrill said.
