GRAND FORKS – The first community mobile sauna event will be hosted by Arctic Lava held in the Elks Park Pool parking lot on Friday night.
Beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m., the sauna will offer a $20 option for up to an hour or a 10 pack for $100 that can be 10 individual sessions or shared.
Arctic Lava is a Nordic-Hawaiian mobile sauna founded by Madison McCue, from Colorado, and Oren Long, from Hawaii, with the hope it would bring people together and support community and wellbeing.
“In Hawaii, it’s all about ‘sharing aloha’ with everyone they come into contact with,” McCue said. “This is our way to share aloha with North Dakota.”
