Livestock brand renewals due in December

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Livestock owners should be watching the mail.

The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association mailed out brand renewal forms at the beginning of the month.

All animal brands expire every five years.

Brand owners have until Dec. 31 to get their brands renewed.

That includes mailing the completed form and the renewal fee.

Those not renewed on time will be considered expired.

The Stockmen’s Association mailed out more than 16,000 notices.

They say that after the deadline, they will start publishing the 2026 North Dakota Brand Record.
