HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy has officially opened its new home in the historic Merrimack Mill district on Wednesday.
Located at 3320 Triana Blvd. SW in an area known as “the Boulevard,” a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcomed Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, Madison County Commission Chairman Mac McCutcheon and other arts leaders to the renovated 24,534-square-foot facility.
In October 2024, Fantasy Playhouse purchased Merrimack Hall.
The new expanded space features a 278-seat accessible theatre, new classroom areas and upgraded backstage facilities, nearly doubling FPCTA’s usable area. The completed lower floor now houses dedicated classrooms, a loading dock, a shop and a new office wing.
