NORTHEAST ALABAMA (WHNT) — With just 11 days until the first high school teams in Alabama kick off the 2025 football season, we are highlighting two teams with rich football traditions: Fyffe and Pisgah.

The Fyffe Red Devils are heading into the 2025 season coming off a 9-3 season that saw the team advance to the third round of the 3A playoffs.

Legendary coach Paul Benefield is back for his 29th year as head coach, so fans of the team can expect little change.

"We're just trying to work to get better. Had a lot of seniors last year, and so there will be some growing pains, I'm sure, early and possibly late, I don't know," Benefield said.
