Taylor Swift has revealed more details about her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. Following the album's announcement on Tuesday, Swift's website listed that the record would ship out on 13 October, suggesting that the release date would precede that. Now, Swift has revealed the release is officially set for 3 October. "And baby, that's show business for you," she posted to X. "New album, The Life of a Showgirl. Out 3 October. Producers: Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor Swift." As for the album's tracklist, it consists of 12 songs and only one featured artist. Sabrina Carpenter will join Swift for the title track, which also serves as the album closer. Swift also unveiled four limited-edition deluxe variations of The Life Of A Showgirl on CD - all of which contain special artwork, booklets, photocards and more. Speculation around the new album picked up in May when Swift revealed that she now had control over her entire back catalogue of music after buying back her final masters from Shamrock Holdings. Fans took note of the line, "All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through," seizing on the fact she used "i" 12 times, which they hoped signalled a follow-up to her 11th studio record, The Tortured Poets Department.
