FOWLER, Kan. (KSNW) — City officials are warning residents to be on alert after a rattlesnake bit and killed a dog in a fenced backyard.
The incident, confirmed by a veterinarian, happened in a homeowner’s yard where the animal was normally kept indoors and only went outside as needed.
The City of Fowler urged residents to take extra precautions to protect themselves, their children, and their pets.
“Remain vigilant and take extra precautions to ensure safety,” the city said in a social post.
