GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - While an attempted murder suspect in Alachua County waits for his case to move forward, he’s being sentenced to more than three decades for another crime.
Court records show Lagarius Johnson, 21, was sentenced to more than 35 years in prison for drug and gun crimes, including possession of a machine gun for drug trafficking.
Johnson pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder charge.
Records show his attorney tried to withdraw from the case, citing a conflict of interest.
