Ann Arbor ― Michigan veteran safety Rod Moore continues to work toward a return to playing in games after a knee injury sidelined him last season, but it remains unclear when that might be.

Moore, voted a captain in 2024 , has not played since suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament early in spring practice last year. The two-time All-Big Ten selection has made 28 starts for the Wolverines and has six interceptions, including in 2023 against Ohio State to seal that victory .

About three weeks ago at a Champions Circle golf outing, Moore told The Detroit News he was 85% healthy in his recovery after not only the ACL surgery last April, but a meniscus surgery last December.
