Allegiant Air will begin flying out of Atlantic City International Airport beginning later this year, becoming the second major air carrier that offers routine flights out of the South Jersey airfield, officials announced Wednesday.
The low-cost airline, which is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, will add four routes to Florida at the airport, said officials from Allegiant and the South Jersey Transportation Authority, the facility’s owner.
The addition complements regular flights to Florida through Spirit Airlines, which has maintained a tenure at the airport amid financial uncertainty.
