HUDSON, S.D. (KELO) — It's been two weeks since a storm tore through South Dakota's easternmost town, but it's been day after day of cleanup ever since.
Ripped off rooftops, toppled playsets and a dented-in grain bin are just a few signs of the destruction that took place in Hudson, South Dakota.
Some of that debris has ended up in these piles around town waiting to be picked up by crews.
"We've got four of those big piles," Hudson Mayor Steve Wickre said. "We've got somebody coming that's going to chip those up and use them in an ethanol plant. So, it'll go to a good purpose."
Cleanup is still underway, but for many, the memory of the storm is still fresh. Straight line winds in the Hudson area were clocked at 90 to 100 miles an hour. The storm sent trees and other debris into the air
