Coming off a winning year both overall and in its league, Royal Oak Shrine football is handing over the keys to one of its own to keep it up this fall.

The school hired Chris Kelly, a Class of 2015 graduate, back in February to keep the momentum going from a 7-3 campaign in 2024.

“It’s awesome,” Kelly said at the recent Catholic League football media day. “Both my parents went to Shrine, my brother went to Shrine, we’re really like a Shrine family. I actually caught at the grade school for one year. I love Shrine.”
