Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin says defenders Fergus Owens and Cian Newbury are nearing a return ahead of Saturday’s clash with East Fife, while winger Charlie Telfer - who has scored in the club's first two league games - can still be used as a trialist.
Owens, 22. and Newbury, 20, are back in training, having been out for around a year, while Ben Black and Ben Williamson could be able to join in some light work.
Rankin says he needs all of his players to be on their mark, because he doesn’t have the strength and depth of previous seasons, operating in the under-19 loans and amateur market.
