VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - It’s now been two weeks since Brandon Whitcomb, 36, was shot and killed by Clark County deputy Michael Gonzalez in downtown Vancouver.

On Wednesday, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office released new video of the shooting, showing the moments leading up to Whitcomb’s death.

Deputies were responding to a report from Whitcomb’s mother that he was armed, high on meth and drunk. She told operators that he might kill both of them, but he fled their home on a bike with her weapon.

The video released Wednesday begins when Deputy Gonzalez spots Whitcomb on a bike riding down Main Street.

The deputy then turns around, and confronts Whitcomb on the street.

Whitcomb jumps off of the bike and gets on his knees in front of a store front, as Gonzalez and other officers command
