BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Gamecocks of Hartford-Humboldt fell behind Tabor 1-0 in the 6th inning on Easton Mudder’s RBI single.
But H-H’s offense got going in the bottom of the 6th when Brodie Herr ripped a double down the left field line scoring Chase Kortan.
They then scored 6 runs in the 8th as Ryan Holgate blasted a grand slam and 3 more in the 9th for a 10-3 win.
In the 2nd game Freeman built a 10-5 lead over the Dell Rapids Mudcats who wouldn’t go down without a fight. They scored 5 times in the top of the 9th to tie the game and send it to extra innings.
And a Chad Hunt triple in the top of the 10th keyed the amazing comeback win for the Dell Rapids Mudcats as they scored 5 more runs to win 15-10. Austin Henry led the way with 3 hits including a home run.
