Management at Belfast International Airport have met with people who have stomas after they said to UTV they had been humiliated and embarrassed while trying to go through security at the airport.

It came after DUP MP Carla Lockhart, who has a relative with a stoma bag, raised the issue on their behalf.

She said: "I had requested a meeting, a high level meeting with Wilson James, who are the security contractors and the chief executive from the airport was there as well.

"I would say it was a positive meeting. I would say it was robust and quite informative in terms of what they are doing and what they're trying to do to improve the situation."
