Women have been getting in touch with ITV News Meridian to share their emotional stories of how their babies were damaged by the epilepsy drug Sodium Valproate.
It follows a series of special reports highlighting the reality for families whose children have been left with a variety of birth defects including mobility problems, curvature of the spine, severe learning disabilities and autism.
Among those prompted to share their stories for the first time are Sarah Kirk from Westerham in Kent and Alice Danzelman who lives near Horsham.
Sarah's 24-year-old son Liam has been left with a variety of difficulties after she continued to take the drug Epilim while pregnant. Her two daughters have also been affected. One needed major surgery to correct her scoliosis.
