NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) - Plans for the Newberry Community School are taking shape.

A Facebook page has been set up for the charter school, which is being formed from Newberry Elementary School.

Lacy Roberts has been tapped to be a consultant, saying they will use the Facebook page to share updates about the plans.

Public school officials are appealing to stop the charter school conversion.
