Waterworld in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

The new owner of Waterworld has expressed being 'deeply saddened' after the death of a four-year-old girl occurred just days after buying Britain's largest aqua park.

Laurent Bruloy, executive chairman and co-founder of the Looping Group, stated that his 'thoughts and sympathy' were with the family of the youngster who passed away in hospital on August 4 after being discovered unconscious in the lagoon section.

The declaration was released to StokeonTrentLive following revelations that Looping had purchased Waterworld Leisure Limited and Waterworld Leisure Group Limited on July 31, mere days prior to the tragedy.
