Drivers are facing long delays on the M6 near Coventry this morning. A lorry fire has left the southbound carriageway blocked between Junction 3 at Coventry and J4.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix warned there long delays with congestion also building on the northbound carriageway as drivers slow down to look at the vehicle ablaze.

West Midlands Road warned drivers to plan their journey on X, formerly Twitter . The account said: "Plan your journey and expect delays. A45 between Solihull and Coventry may be busier than usual."
