LOGAN - Next week first year Aggies up and down the state will experience one of USU’s treasured traditions, the Connections Luminary.
On Friday, Aug. 22, events on campuses in Logan, Tooele, Blanding and Price will involve new students, faculty, community members and alums in welcoming the incoming class.
In Logan Friday night freshmen enrolled in the USU 1010 Connections course will join a procession from the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum to the Quad, which is the reverse of the path they will follow one day in a future commencement ceremony.
Each student will carry a lantern shaped like the Old Main tower.
The final event of the evening will be a welcome address from USU Interim President Alan Smith, which will be broadcast to all four campuses including to a large screen on the Quad in L
