TRENTON — New Jersey has been aggressively challenging President Donald Trump, filing or joining 32 lawsuits against things the president or his administration has done.
In the more than 200 days since Trump returned to the presidency, that averages a lawsuit every six days.
That does not include the 40 cases New Jersey has joined as a friend of the court.
The suits seek to block or undo actions the president has taken on birthright citizenship, education funding, sweeping cuts made by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, gun control and coverage under the Affordable Care Act, among many others.
