CBS SPORTS have announced a major broadcasting change which will see the return of an iconic presenter.

The broadcaster is bringing back the notable The NFL Today show for its 50th anniversary.

The show first aired in 1975 and was hosted by the legendary Brent Musburger .

He made NFL Today a regular viewing for fans ahead of the weekend's action.

CBS will now be bringing it back for a tribute episode on September 21.

The special episode will feature its original graphics and music in a proper throwback for viewers.

It will also be filmed in a virtual recreation of the original NFL Today set from 50 years ago.

To complete the throwback experience, the iconic Musburger, 86, will be in the driver's seat as the show host.

He will be joined on set by the likes of James Brown,
