Iceland has announced a new "£1 shoplifting snitch reward scheme” promising vigilant customers a quid if they rat on customers attempting to shoplift from the supermaket's shelves. Despite the announcement many Iceland customers have vowed they won’t grass on customers and have blasted the high street store for offering a pitiful amount of money for snitching . ‌

Iceland’s Executive Chairman took to TV screens last night to announce the new scheme on Channel 5 News.
