AUSTINTOWN Gas pumps at the Sheetz gas station on State Route 46 in Austintown are still out of service Thursday morning following a lightning strike Wednesday night.
Our 21 News crew saw caution tape placed around all gas pumps at the gas station early Thursday morning. Employees told 21 News the outage was due to a power surge or lightning strike from Wednesday night's storms.
The store itself is still open, but an employee confirmed with 21 News that the gas pumps are still down as of 6:30 a.m. The employee told us the store hopes to have them back in service later Thursday morning.
21 News will update this story once the pumps are back in service.
