It’s an extraordinarily busy weekend around Hamilton with plenty of fabulously fun festivals, parades, walking tours and so much more.

It looks like there will be perfect summer weather this weekend. Environment Canada is calling for sunshine, blue skies and daytime highs around the 30 C mark. Clouds or showers may move into the area Sunday.

Cactus Festival Parade

Road closures for Thursday’s annual Dundas Cactus Parade start at 6 p.m. and stay closed until 10 p.m. It’s the annual kickoff of the Cactus Festival, with this year’s theme: “50 Years of Cactus Parading Through the Decades.”

The parade start time is 6:45 p.m. Temporary road closures include Cross Street (parade starts at Dundas Driving Park) to Park Street; Park Street to York Road; York Road to King Street; King Stree
