Adey Avey, F, Sr., Chesterton

Area coaches recognize the threat a healthy Avey imposes. Though she battled a significant back injury during her junior season, she still scored 17 goals for the Trojans.

If she stays healthy, Chesterton coach Ben Forgey is confident that his starting forward will rank among the best in Northwest Indiana.

Miriam Avalos, MF, Sr., Griffith

The senior midfielder was a key force for the Panthers last season, leading the team with 17 goals and five assists. Avalos is one of 10 returning starters for a program on the rise.
