COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - College Station ISD officially opened its many school doors for students on Wednesday morning as they start the new school year.

With the first day of school, it can bring a mix of emotions for some students and staff.

Rock Prairie Elementary School Principal Dawn Newton told KBTX, “[There’s] always a little bit of nerves. But excitement, mainly.”

School officials emphasized that CSISD students are in good hands (Gray Media)

College Station ISD Assistant Superintendent of Operations Josh Symank said getting kids back into the classroom is a welcomed sight.
