CHICAGO — An investigation is underway on Thursday after two teens were injured in a shooting on the Southwest Side overnight.

According to police, officers were first notified about the shooting after the two victims, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police said the teens later told officers that they suffered the wounds while walking in the 4200 block of South Fairfield Avenue in Brighton Park.

The teens said that as they were walking, they both heard a noise and felt pain, but police said additional details surrounding the incident are unclear, as the victims were uncooperative with the investigation.

They later took themselves to the hospital, where they were listed in fair condition.
