Syracuse, N.Y. — A gas pipe break has closed one lane of Interstate 690 West and the Midler exit in Syracuse on Thursday morning.

Syracuse firefighters and police are on the scene of the break reported at Burnet and Nichols avenues at 7:20 a.m. That’s near the end of the Midler Exit for I-690 West.

Burnet also is closed around the intersection with Nichols Avenue.

National Grid crews are on the scene.
