PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Storm chances are down slightly today in the Valley after parts of town saw robust monsoon activity Wednesday night. Look for partly sunny skies and a high of 108 today in Phoenix.

Wednesday night’s rain caused flooding on the Loop 202 South Mountain freeway near Buckeye Road due to a blocked storm drain. Arizona Department of Public Transportation (ADOT) crews are on scene trying to solve the issue. This work is blocking the left two lanes, and there is no estimated time for these lanes to reopen.

Storm chances are near 10% today in Phoenix and climb to about 30% this evening. The atmosphere is somewhat worked over from storms that pushed through Wednesday, dropping about two-thirds of an inch of rain in the southwest Valley and a tenth to a quarter inch in other p
