CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Temperatures have soared over 110 degrees across the state for the month of August. This creates a challenge for firefighters as they respond to calls across the Valley.

Residents at a Chandler apartment complex decided to do Something Good and help out our emergency crews! Those who live at Casitas at San Marcos held a water drive and donated water to the Chandler Fire Department as a way to say “thank you!”

Chandler Fire Department shared the photos on social media, thanking staff and residents for the generous donation of 55 cases of water.

“Your support helps keep our firefighters hydrated and ready to serve, especially during these hot summer months. We truly appreciate your commitment to the health and safety of our crews,” the department posted.
