JAMESTOWN — The James River Valley Library System’s budget for this year is projected to be just slightly above the break-even point with funding through the mill levies from the city of Jamestown and Stutsman County, according to Jessica Alonge, Stutsman County auditor/chief operating officer, who is a city-appointed member on the library board.

Alonge said the library system’s projected revenue over expenses is just over $8,300 for 2025.

The James River Valley Library System Board of Directors discussed the library system’s mill levy request to Stutsman County at its meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The library board approved the James River Valley Library System’s mill levy request at its meeting in July.
