JAMESTOWN —Thirty-one people rolled up their sleeves at Jamestown Regional Medical Center for the Aug. 5 blood drive, held in partnership with Vitalant and coordinated by JRMC’s Community Engagement Committee. The blood drive brought in 35 life-saving blood products.

Donors included JRMC employees and community members, united by one goal, to help neighbors in need.

“I donate blood because the need is so great,” said JRMC Laboratory Manager Mallory Schultz. “Giving a donation is simple and can make all of the difference to someone in need.”

Blood drives at JRMC are part of an ongoing effort to support the region’s blood supply. Donations collected are used to assist patients undergoing surgery, receiving cancer treatment or who have experienced a traumatic injury.
