Mac McAnally has worked with a long list of legends in his time, including Jimmy Buffett and any number of top-tier country stars. But he also thinks fondly of one of his weirdest collaborations, which involved animatronic hillbilly bears.

It’s been a little over a year now since Disney opened a revamped version of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree in the Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando. This was a big deal: The show had been around since 1971 and is one of the last attractions that Walt Disney helped develop before his death.
