Glasgow Airport passengers are facing 'chaos' today following an issue at security.
Travellers told Glasgow Live that staff are conducting "manual bag searches" after the security scanners broke on Thursday, August 14. It is understood that an IT issue caused the breakdown at the busy transport hub.
One holidaymaker told Glasgow Live: "The security scanners are down, "network issues". 100% manual bag searches. It's organised chaos."
A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport responded: “An IT issue has resulted in queues at security. It is currently being rectified and we thank passengers for their patience.”
