A woman threatened to blow up her house with oxygen tanks while she sang Sophie Ellis Bextor's hit Murder on the Dancefloor.
Laura Russell, 47, claimed she would ignite the 12 cylinders with a lighter at the property in Glasgow's Baillieston on June 6 2025. During the four hour stand off with police, Russell played the number one hit loudly from a speaker.
She also shouted the lyric "Gonna burn this goddamn house right down." The incident attracted the attention of interested neighbours who were later ordered to vacate the area.
Russell pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to culpable and reckless conduct. She also admitted a separate charge of theft.
