HENRY CO., Ill. (KWQC) - Two people were injured after a wrong-way driver and semi crashed Wednesday night.
According to Illinois State Police, at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to westbound I-74 near milepost 29 for a three-vehicle crash.
Investigators found that a Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes.
Officials said a semi driving westbound was hit by the Ford. The Ford stopped in the westbound lanes and the semi stopped in the median.
Another car, a Toyota Rav4, was driving westbound and officials said the driver was not able to avoid the Ford, causing another crash.
The drivers of the Ford and Toyota were taken to area hospitals with injuries. Officials said the semi driver was uninjured.
