Allen Park — The Detroit Lions are planning to work cornerback Terrion Arnold back into practice slowly, coach Dan Campbell said before the team's second day of joint practices on Thursday.

Arnold, who hasn't participated in a full practice since leaving with a hamstring injury on July 29, partook in warmups on Wednesday and told The Detroit News after practice that he was planning on returning with full participation the next day.

"The plan is to get him into some individual today, give him some reps, and just kind of see where he is," Campbell said. "Just working back in slowly."

The other big injury news of the day is about tight end Sam LaPorta, who will miss a couple of days with an injury, per Campbell. Asked what LaPorta's dealing with, Campbell said, "an injury."
