CLARENDON, Ark. — Five inmates at the Monroe County Detention Center have been arrested in connection with the death of 44-year-old Terry Craig of Clarendon.

According to reports, detention staff discovered Craig injured in his cell shortly after he had been booked on charges of possession of child sexual abuse materials and possession of a firearm by certain persons on August 8.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 10 p.m. His body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

On August 12, police served arrest warrants to 38-year-old Gregory Otis, 26-year-old Typaris Johnson, 31-year-old Antonio Aldridge, 28-year-old Reko Branscomb, and 18-year-old Carmello Hawkins.
