KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A woman facing charges in a 2023 drag racing crash that killed a man and injured two others has been convicted.

District Attorney Charme Allen’s office says Trinity Clark, 24, was convicted of Vehicular Homicide, Aggravated Assault and Drag Racing. She is scheduled to appear back in court on Sept. 26 for sentencing, where she could face up to five to 10 years in prison.

Records show on Jan. 17, 2023, Clark and Tra’Shawn Glass were drag racing on Magnolia Avenue around 3 p.m. when they collided with another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle died and and his two grandchildren were seriously injured.

Data recovered from Clark’s vehicle showed she was traveling 109 mph just before the crash. Knoxville Police say she did admit that she had been racing.
