SAN ANTONIO — Have you ever forgot to return a library book and ended up with a big fine?

Someone in Oregon just returned a book to the San Antonio Public Library that was checked out 82 years ago, way back in 1943!

They found the book while sifting through their father's possessions after he passed away. The family member returned the book with a letter back in June.

“When I noticed it was from the San Antonio Public Library, I decided to send it back to you,” the letter states.

They think that their grandmother checked the book out when their father was 11 years old, right being transferred to work at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.
