COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) - A Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge ruled a Columbus woman accused of killing a 5-year-old boy is incompetent to stand trial at this time.
Pammy Maye is charged with murder, child endangering, and kidnapping for the death of Darnell Taylor in February 2024.
His body was found in a Columbus storm drain.
Maye was the child’s legal guardian.
Judge Mark Serrott had first ordered a competency evaluation for Maye on April 28; however, court records show Maye declined to participate or attend the evaluation, so the doctor could not form an opinion.
On June 10, Judge Serrott ordered Franklin County Sheriff Deputies to transport Maye to Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare for an evaluation.
Columbus Police issued an AMBER Alert for Taylor after Maye’s husband
